CSI Portland February 2019 – Learning and Libations: History of Oregon’s Energy Code and ASHRAE Standard 90.1

February 19, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

CSI® Building Knowledge Improving Project Delivery

Date: Wednesday, February 19, 2019 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Join members of the Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) industry at the Portland Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Learning and Libations event.

In 2019, Oregon began moving away from a highly modified code to a new, quicker adoption cycle using the latest version of ANSI/ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1. The State will see multiple benefits from this move. For designers, the format of the new code requires some changes to design documents. With a quicker adoption cycle, designers can look for a new code within one year of the release of the latest 90.1, which means another code update for energy in late 2020.

Presenter – Mark R. Heizer, P.E. – Oregon Building Codes Division, Inspector Training Program

Mr. Heizer received his Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a registered mechanical engineer.
