Firestopping Systems & Devices Only nationally tested ICBO, UL-Listed and Factory Mutual approved firestopping products, systems and application designs are applicable to state and local building codes. Atlas Supply's factory trained firestopping specialist will assure you that the right WR GRACE FlameSafe® Firestop product, system, or application design is selected for your project. You will find a complete line of FlameSafe® products and materials at any of your local Atlas Supply Seattle, Tacoma and Portland distribution centers.

WR GRACE FlameSafe® Firestop Sealants & Coatings - FlameSafe® Sealants (FS 1990 Intumescent Sealant, FS 900+ Non-intumescent Sealant) are high performance intumescent and elastomeric sealants that are high solids, water-based compounds engineered to provide exceptional adhesive and elastomeric properties for the demanding firestop requirements of pipe, cable, sprinkler through-penetrations and construction joints when subjected to frequent expansion and contraction. FS 1900 is Red in color. FS900+ is available in Red, or Gray. FlameSafe® Coating (FS 3000) is an elastomeric, spray-able firestop coating that is water-based and specially designed for spray applications onto joints between fire-resistive assemblies and perimeter barrier (curtain wall) assemblies. This nationally tested and approved coating has been tested to dynamic movement conditions relating to seismic, wind sway and thermal expansion/contraction environments. The FS 3000 Coating has been especially formulated for ease of application and provides an efficient solution for firestopping joint systems. It is also brush-able and can be painted once cured. FS 3000 available colors are Red, or Off White (stocked).

WR GRACE FlameSafe® Firestop Silicone Sealants – FlameSafe® Silicone Sealants (FlameSafe® Silicone Sealant, FS 4000 Silicone Sealant) are flexible, allowing use in penetrations, construction joints, including perimeter wall (curtain wall) joints. Both are water resistant, however the FS 4000 has the UL® water tight W Rating Class 1 designation. FS 4000 is weather and UV resistant. FlameSafe® Silicone Sealant is Red in color and the FS 4000 Silicone is Limestone Gray.

WR GRACE FlameSafe® Firestop Pillows & Bags - FlameSafe® Pillows and Bags are durable firestop products allowing easy access to cables, cable trays and conduit for through-penetrations in fire-rated walls and floors. The FlameSafe® Pillow is a plastic coated pillow that functions through a unique phase reaction to intumesce and seal out fire and smoke. The plastic bag allows for easy installation and multiple re-entries. The patented FlameSafe® Bags are patented bags consisting of tightly woven, durable, coated cloth. They are filled with a combination of mineral fibers, incombustible components, water insoluble intumescent agents and special fire-retardant additives, making them resistive to the environment. They will retain their properties and effectiveness when subjected to weather, temperature, and atmospheric conditions. Atlas Supply also has a complete supply of industrial fiber glass insulation material to enhance your firestop installations.

WR GRACE FlameSafe® Firestop Wrap Strips, Sleeves and Devices - FlameSafe® Intumescent Wrap Strip (FSWS) is a highly flexible, resilient strip designed to firestop combustible penetrants in fire-rated walls and floors. Highly intumescent, the FSWS rapidly expands to form a dense collar to prevent the spread of fire, smoke and toxic gasses when exposed to temperatures in excess of 250°F (121°C). The FlameSafe® intumescent wrap strip is used in conjunction with sealant as a tuck-in system, or a restraining collar to firestop combustible penetrants such as PVC, cc-PVC, CPVC, FRPP, cc-ABS, and ABS pipe as well as insulated pipe. The FlameSafe® Collar, or Wrap Strip Device (FSWSD) is a pre-assembled collar using the Wrap Strip and restraining collar metal. It is made to fit tightly around plastic pipe with a small annular space. The FlameSafe® Intumescent Sleeve (FSIS) is a one piece sleeve lined with highly intumescent FlameSafe® Putty. It is an easily installed one piece sleeve requiring no modification, or fasteners (hose clamps only) to attach it to the substrate. This “poke-through” sleeve eliminates the need for Wrap Strip, or Collars, and can be used in fluted deck application and wall, or floor applications with no other fabrication.

WR GRACE FlameSafe® Firestop Mortar, Putty and Putty Pads - FlameSafe® Mortar Seal by is a cost effective material available for projects with many large openings. It is a lightweight, low density product that is mixed with varying amounts of water to produce the proper consistency for pouring, pumping, or troweling into the cavity. FlameSafe® Putty (FSP 1000) is a non-hardening, easy to install firestop material approved for power and data communication cables and metallic pipe in small openings. It is intumescent, expanding to arrest the spread of smoke, fire and toxic gases in fire-rated walls, ceilings and floors. This non-hardening putty remains pliable allowing for re-entry, making it well suited for frequent penetrant changes. The FlameSafe® Putty Pad (FSP1077) is specifically designed to cover metallic and non-metallic electrical boxes in fire-rated common walls protecting against the spread of fire, smoke and toxic gases. Putty Pads do not harden so they also are used to prevent vibration and thermal expansion and are sound transmission tested in accordance with ASTM E90.
