Sika Corporation
Polyurethane Construction Sealants
by Sika - Used worldwide more than any other sealant, Sika
polyurethane sealants are easy to use, long-lasting and versatile. They
have wide-ranging applications in general building construction, parking
garages, tunnels, pipes, and underground structures. In particular, Sika
polyurethane sealants improve structural integrity, have exceptional adherence,
resistance to tearing and weathering, and though available in a full range
of colors, they are paintable for enhancing aesthetic appearance. These
high performing polyurethane elastomeric sealants are available in a variety
of one and two part formulas including non-sag, self-leveling and low
modulus to meet your specific application.
Polyurethane Adhesive Sealants for
Transportation by Sika - Specially formulated high performance
polyurethane adhesive sealants especially designed for the transportation
industry. These specialized sealants include USDA, FDA, NSF and potable
water approved sealants for general purpose bonding, versatile fast cure
sealant-adhesives for light bonding applications, high strength performance
adhesive-sealants, low modulus adhesive-sealants and one part, ultra-fast
curing, high strength, adhesive sealants.
Industrial polyurethane sealant adhesives are available
in various bonding strengths from light to heavy duty applications. Popular
in the transportation industry, these high performing sealant adhesives
can replace rivets, screws, welds and other mechanical fasteners. Easy
to apply, these materials seal and bond in one step.
One and Two Part Polyurethane, Elastomeric
Sealant Adhesives – Designed for all types of joints in concrete,
window and door frames, reglets, flashing and many other adhesive applications,
these high performing polyurethane sealant adhesives come in one and two
component formulas for both vertical non-sag and horizontal self leveling
applications. Typical uses include sealing air ducts and high vacuum systems,
sealing cover plates, gaskets and coverings, containers, tanks and silos,
reservoirs or water retaining structures, aluminum fabrication and bolted
lap joints.
Protective waterproofing slurry seal
by Sika - This is a two-component, polymer-modified cement-based
protective and waterproofing slurry coating suitable for use in both interior
and exterior applications. Main uses include internal and external waterproofing
and dampproofing concrete, mortar blockwork and brickwork.
Chemical, Injectable Grouts
– Mainly used as a "finger in the dike" to stop active
water leaks, these Sika Grouts are available in a variety of different
viscosities. Used primarily in water containment applications such as:
sewer, manhole, reservoir, dams, and wastewater treatment facilities.
Some products have NASF approval.
Penetrating, Corrosion Inhibiting
Coatings for Hardened Concrete – Use for steel-reinforced
concrete, bridges, highways and parking garages that are exposed to corrosive
environments (deicing salts, weathering). Protects against the harmful
effects of corrosion by penetrating the surface of even the most dense
concrete and diffusing to the steel to inhibit corrosion. Easily applied
by either spray or roller to all existing reinforced concrete.
Cementitious Patching and Repair
Mortars – Used for fast overhead and vertical concrete patching
and spalling repairs, these materials require minimum time between lifts,
have fast finishing times, are easy to use and provide high bonding strength
which ensures excellent adhesion. Available in one and two component formulas,
some of these special polymer-modified mortars are formulated with migrating
corrosion inhibitors.
High-Strength Cementitious and Epoxy / Cement Combination Mortars - Used
as a anti-corrosion coating for reinforcing steel in concrete, bonding
agent for concrete repairs, repair and restore deteriorated concrete and
much more, these application specific mortars are popular cost effective
materials that set the standard in concrete repair and restoration.
High-Modulus, High-Strength Bonding
/ Gel / Grouting Adhesives – For enhancing adhesion with
new concrete to old; securing bolts, dowels and pins in hardened concrete;
sealing interior slabs and exterior above-grade slabs from water, chlorides,
and mild chemicals; these engineered, rapid-curing, epoxy bonding grouting
materials are used for all these and more suitable concrete repair and
restoration applications. Several are currently listed on WSDOT and ODOT
Qualified Product List.
High-Performance, Epoxy Acrylate,
Anchoring Systems and Injection Gels - Two part structural epoxy
anchoring injection gels packaged in convenient cartridges in fast and
slow set formulas. High-modulus, high strength, 100% solids, moisture-tolerant
structural epoxies that conform to ASTM C-881 and AASHTO M-235 specifications.
Typical uses include for structural crack repairs, mechanical grouting
of bolts, dowels, pins, machine and robotic base plates, bearing pads;
re-anchoring of veneer masonry, wood truss repairs, waterproofing tunnels,
cable vaults, tanks, basements, etc. These high modulus epoxy anchoring
systems are low odor, moisture tolerant and applied with minimum waste.
